Dutch quartet Causes may have only signed a record contract with RCA London this summer, but they are fast becoming the next big thing with industry fans including MTV and Radio X.

Starting as a solo project, British lead singer Rupert Blackman moved to Utrecht in the Netherlands from London in 2008 where he began writing a solo album. Following this, Blackman formed Causes in 2013 with Jan Schroder, Simon Boeing-Messing and Robert Pronk. Since then, the band have worked with celebrated Mumford & Sons producer Ian Gimble and wrote and produced their debut EP To The River, which was released in October 2015. With their debut album already written, the band are set to spent the rest of 2015 performing across Europe, including one London date.
